The Armadale-Byford Rifle Club Range

The ABRC shoots regularly at the Pickering Brook Rifle Range, Located on the eastern side of Canning Rd, 700 mtrs south of the Canning Rd and Pickering Brook Rd intersection.

The range has mounds at 100 yards right back to 600 yards, this allows up to and including 9mm in calibre rifles to be used.

Shooting Commences at 8:00 am every Saturday (unless specified otherwise).

What to Bring?

If you want to come down for a look or even a shoot, there are a few basic things you must bring to make it more enjoyable and comfortable.

Basics:

Ear protection (ear muffs, ear buds) - There will be high powered rifles fired nearly every meet so ear protection is a must. Everyone withing 10 meters of the mound must wear protection. Disposable ear buds are available to visitors at each meeting

Eye Protection (safety grade glasses) - When on the mound you must wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from debris and damage.  The club can provide safety glasses for visitors use.

Good Footwear – You will not be allowed to shoot in thongs or sandals. Runners or hikers are fine.

Sunscreen, hat and a long sleeve shirtDuring the summer months you may be shooting in full sun so we advise you take precautions against sunburn.

The Armadale-Byford Rifle Club welcomes all new members and will gladly help people into the sport of target shooting.

 

REMEMBER!

Do not bring any alcohol or intoxicating substances to the range. Nor should you consume any if you plan on participating in shooting, consuming alcohol or drugs of any nature prior to or during the use of a firearm is forbidden by law! No alcohol is to be consumed on club property!
